Reformation Sermon Series

Here at Lighthouse, we are dedicated to Jesus Christ, and lifting Him above all other things!

This current sermon series called Reformation marks the 500th anniversary of an Augustinain monk named Martin Luther (1483-1546), who through his life, work, and dedication to the Word of God, changed history for the "Protestant" Church when he nailed 95 statements (called theses) to the door of his church in Wittenberg, Germany.

These statements cried out against the unbiblical practice of the church selling "indulgences" - basically selling forgiveness of sins at a monetary price.  Luther was convicted of this heresy through his study and dedication to the Word of God and the preaching of Jesus that a person must personally confess, repent and turn away from their life of sin and to commit to live for Christ in a personal sinner-savior relationship.

We worship Jesus Christ here.  So, Come, worship Him with us!

WHAT TO EXPECT

What is the message like?

At Lighthouse, we believe that the message from God is the most important aspect of the worship service.

Our pastor will deliver a Bible-based message that will challenge you spiritually

as we all strive to walk closer with God.

What is the worship like?

Our worship music is led by a band including guitars, keyboards and drums.

The songs we sing include modern worship songs from groups like Hillsong, Bethel, and Passion, along with classic hymns like "How Great Thou Art," and "It Is Well."

We believe that the music is only a part of the worship service as a whole,

and that it should be a time of praise to God that honors and glorifies Him

while preparing our own hearts for His message to us.

What should I wear?

Whatever you want!

You will see people in dress shirts and ties

and then others in t-shirts and jeans.

Please dress in whatever makes you comfortable.

All we ask is that you come with a heart and mind that is

prepared to worship God and hear from Him.

Will I be expected to give money?

Not at all!  Our members give faithfully to support advancing the kingdom of God

through Lighthouse Baptist Church.
